In the last class I began taking the first steps in my project. I first created a new blog page titled; Final Project Blog". I started researching about the Berlin wall, i wanted to create a Google map with tags because i knew it would be easy but, the key words were giving me some trouble. I looked up "Berlin Wall" on Google maps and almost all my results were random architecture in Berlin, Germany. I gave up working on the map in class,(thinking i could gain more project on the map at home) and moved onto video research. I found a ton of great sites that linked me to informational and relevant videos for my topic. Furthermore, I collected the videos in chronological order (older to newer events) and posted them onto my new blog page.
Outside of class I worked with Johannes on Thursday in the library from: 2:30 to 5:00. We shared ideas on each others projects giving criticism. Johannes told me I should find more newspaper articles and relate them to televising broadcasts seeing which ones are biased and which ones are written under free speech and opinion. Sadly the Internet was so slow, so all my research took more time than necessary (youtube videos were having trouble loading).
At home I looked up some newspaper articles and found a ton of information on the topic. Some news casts, mainly from ABC, have the best coverage of the taking down of the wall but video use is blocked which was kind of annoying. I finished my studying this week by attempting to download Google Earth on my home desktop. The program was downloaded but i could not find where it was saved. this will be just another challenge I will have to face and concur!
